Avicii’s Final Ushuaïa Ibiza Set Released for 10th Anniversary
The final live DJ set from Avicii, recorded at the iconic Ushuaïa Ibiza on 28th August 2016, has been released in its entirety to commemorate its tenth anniversary. This historic performance, which captures the late Swedish producer at the height of his influence, is now available for fans to experience in full for the first time via the Avicii Community platform.
The two-hour-plus performance is presented in its raw, unedited form. The footage provides an intimate perspective of the show, captured via a GoPro mounted on the DJ decks, offering a direct view of Tim Bergling as he commanded the stage. The release is presented without any cuts or additional production, maintaining the authenticity of his final live appearance.
A Personal Look at a Legacy
In addition to the concert footage, the release includes a poignant, previously unseen video of Bergling drafting his retirement letter to his fans. The black-and-white clip shows the artist at his laptop, carefully articulating his decision to step away from touring. In the video, he reads aloud: “Last but not least thank you to every fan who’s ever bought a ticket or snuck in or bought a song or downloaded it, commented or hated. It’s your thoughts and ideas about the music that helped me evolve and I do owe everything I have to you.”
The Avicii Community platform has also curated a comprehensive setlist on Spotify, alongside additional behind-the-scenes content that offers further insight into the artist’s creative process and final days on the road. While select clips from the Ushuaïa show—such as performances of ‘Addicted To You’ and ‘Levels’—have surfaced on YouTube over the years, and footage was featured in the 2024 Netflix documentary Avicii — My Last Show, this marks the first time the complete set has been made available to the public.
This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Avicii Estate, in partnership with Pophouse, to preserve the artist’s extensive archive. Launched in July, the Avicii Community platform serves as a dedicated space for fans to engage with his work and legacy. The full set and accompanying behind-the-scenes footage are now available to view on the official Avicii Community website.
