Avalon Emerson shares new singles featuring Priori and Anunaku: Listen
Avalon Emerson has released two new singles as part of her ongoing Perpetual Emotion Machine project. ‘Sort of Like a Dream’ featuring Anunaku, aka TSVI, and ‘You’re My World’ featuring Priori are both avaialble to listen to below.
Out now via Dead Oceans, the tracks follow her recent cover of Oppenheimer Analysis’ cult classic ‘Don’t Be Seen With Me’, ‘On It Goes’ with Storm Queen, and ‘Treat Mode’, which were released throughout the last few months.
The dancefloor-focused Perpetual Emotion Machine project is described as a living, evolving project” and “a conduit for human connection” inspired by “different genres across different decades”. It follows Emerson’s 2023 dream pop album ‘Avalon Emerson & The Charm’.
Expanding on the project in a press statement, Emerson explained: “These songs were created for my DJ sets. Whether they’re entirely original, edits to recontextualise old favourites, instrumental, or feature me singing, they are all part of my perpetual emotion machine. And the machine steams on.”
The new batch of tracks come after a string of recent shows, including sets at Nowadays in NY, Bilbao BBK, Glastonbury and a closing set at Berghain’s Panorama Bar.
Emerson and Anunaku previously worked together in 2022 on a joint EP under the name A+A.
