ASM announces hybrid algorithmic synthesizer, Leviasynth

Ashun Sound Machines (ASM) has debuted a new hybrid algorithmic synthesizer called The Leviasynth.

The new unit is a 16-voice, eight-oscillator synth available both as a 61-note keyboard and a rackable desktop version, with sound powered by an “all-new” mix of digital and analogue filters. Each oscillator can generate over 300 waveforms from seven independent Oscillator Modes. The synth also comes with 144 preset algorithms.

Each of the eight oscillators has its own volume envelope, plus there are five additional envelopes and five LFOs. The 18 digital filter modes build on the company’s well-known Hydrasynth, a digital eight-note polyphonic synth, which came out in 2019.

Both models offer 32-slot modulation, an in-built sequencer and arpeggiator and feature multicolour touchscreen interfaces as well as a range of physical knobs and buttons. The keyboard version is fitted with a five-octave Polytouch keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch and a four-octave ribbon controller. Meanwhile, the desktop version features 16 Polytouch polyphonic aftertouch pads.

The Leviasynth keyboard version is priced at $2499/€3299, while the desktop version is available for $1799/€2399.
