An artist has created a number of LEGO replicas of various famous album artwork, by the likes of The Prodigy, Daft Punk, Gorillaz and Aphex Twin.

Adnan Lotia is a designer who uses LEGO bricks as his main material, though he’s since switched to digital LEGO creations, and he’s shared images of a number of his creations via a dedicated Instagram page.

In an interview, he told Loudwire that he “picked up digital construction using BrickLink Studio along the way, and absolutely love[s] how much freedom, flexibility, and speed it provides to LEGO artists.”

Speaking about where he gets his inspiration for album covers to recreate, he said: “[I] got into electronic music and R&B in college, went deep into progressive rock as an adult, and recently fell back in love with ’70s disco and funk. I move around music genres a lot because there’s very little music that I don’t enjoy.”

He first got inspiration for his project from listening to Pink Floyd’s classic album ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’, when he started to think about how he could recreate the prism on the famous album cover with LEGO bricks.

“I started wondering what other cover art could be adapted into LEGO and I’ve been trying to refine my process ever since,” he told Loudwire. “I try and build as much as I can in my head before actually putting any pieces down. In some cases, I look for focal points in the album cover that might be suggested effectively in LEGO, and work outwards from there.”

Among the album covers that have been given the LEGO treatment are Gorillaz’s ‘Demon Days’, Deadmau5’s ‘Random Album Title’, Radiohead’s ‘The Bends’, The Prodigy’s ‘The Fat Of The Land’ and Daft Punk’s ‘Random Access Memories’.
