Arca announces new album, 'KICK ii'

Arca has shared details of her new album, ‘KICK ii’.

The follow-up to 2020’s ‘KiCk i’, the album is billed in a press release as “the second stage in the ongoing ‘KiCk’ series. It comprises 12 tracks which are “conceived to represent the multiple self-states that exist within Arca”.

The new album takes in production and songwriting credits from Boys Noize, Cardopusher, Mica Levi and Clark, while Sia contributes guest vocals to lead single ‘Born Yesterday’, for which you can watch a video below.

‘KICK ii’ will be released by XL on 3rd December. 

The album’s announcement comes amid a fruitful period for Arca, who recently collaborated with visual artist Weirdcore on a new film project for Turin’s C2C Festival.

She also remixed Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s hit single ‘Rain On Me’ for the former’s ‘Dawn Of Chromatica’ remix album, and appeared alongside Honey Dijon in Calvin Klein’s LGBTQIA+ campaign earlier this year.
