AlphaTheta announces RMX-IGNITE

AlphaTheta has unveiled its “next-generation” effector, the RMX-IGNITE.

The new unit offers an update on the popular RMX-1000, which was released back in 2012. At its core, the RMX-IGNITE features a three-band section that delivers two effect modes: Lever FX, for instant and “dramatic” sound transformations, and Isolate FX, for smoother changes. Each can be applied to the different frequency bands, allowing up to six effects combined at once, including tape echo, reverb and stretch.

Design-wise, the unit is fitted with large levers and knobs and a multi-colour display screen for intuitive use while promising “professional-level sound quality”. In the sampler section, there are 20 built-in Loopcloud samples ready to play around with, and you can also upload your own via a USB drive. Anyone purchasing the RMX-IGNITE will also receive a free three-month subscription to Loopmasters.

Elsewhere, using PRO DJ LINK, the new model connects with CDJs and other compatible DJ players to sync BPM and track grids. It also makes remote sample access possible, reading samples from other players on the PRO DJ LINK network.

You can check out all the features at the AlphaTheta site here. The RMX-IGNITE is priced at €1,199.00 / £1,039.00 / $1,199.00.

In other AlphaTheta news, the company recently rolled out Apple Music integration for its CDJ-3000X media player.

Last year, AlphaTheta also announced Spotify support for its DJ software, rekordbox.
