Alcohol-free day party, Club Soft, announces next London event

Mina has announced the next event in her alcohol-free party series, Club Soft.

Set to take place on 29th March at Gaffe, in South London, the event will feature DJ sets from Mina, alongside Sana, Shryke, Top Klas and Trae Joly.

London-based DJ and producer Mina launched Club Soft in 2023 as a new type of clubbing experience for dance music fans interested in an alternative to late nights and drinking culture.

Following the success of the inaugural Club Soft event at Colour Factory, Mina was awarded a grant by PRS Foundation as part of their Early Career Promoter fund, leading to a follow-up party at Gaffe in November 2024. The upcoming Club Soft event will mark the third party in the series.

“I want the events to feel like a regular party, just without alcohol, with the focus being on good music played on a great sound-system,” Mina shared on her Instagram.

“As I turn 33 I’m noticing my relationship with clubbing changing. Recovering from super late nights is harder, and I’m less comfortable being in large, busy crowds.

“It’s a shame that there’s an unspoken ‘age-limit’ where clubbing is an activity you only do in your 20s,” she continued. “With Club Soft I wanted to create a “softer” clubbing experience that is inclusive for people of all ages. At my last event, there were people from 20-60+ years old (including my parents!). It was so great, and made me think about how we need more intergenerational dancefloors in the UK.”

This month’s Club Soft event will run from 5PM to 9PM, with 0% drinks to be provided by Lemonaid, The Social Beer Company, and more. Tickets are available here. Find out more about the event below.

Mina also runs the platform, ‘Funding With Mina’, aimed at demystifying the creative industries and supporting artists with funding applications. It was a practice she started during the pandemic after receiving a grant from the Arts Council to help develop her live set with collaborator, Bryte, and has since helped artists write successful funding applications totalling over £100,000.

Last year, Patrick Topping threw an alcohol-free rave to correspond with Sober October, “where people can come and not feel the pressure to drink but still enjoy that communal experience of raving together.”
