A new open air venue is opening in London

A new open-air venue is launching at Greenwich’s Morden Wharf in London.

The 500-capacity space, Morden Wharf Terrace, is located in a historic industrial yard overlooking the Thames and will feature street food from Black Eats LDN – the UK’s first and only Black-owned restaurant directory – as well as DJs, and a Funktion One soundsystem.

Following the opening party on 29th April, the venue will kick off the season with a UKG brunch on 14th May, before taking in a varied schedule that includes a ‘Glasgow Underground’ event on 12th June with the likes of Nancie, Kevin McKay, and more local names.

Terry Farley, Matt Jam Lamont, Stanton Warriors, and more have also been booked to play. Check out the full event schedule here.

The Morden Wharf opening follows the announcement earlier this month of London’s new open-air events space, Dockyards.

Yesterday (24th March), it was revealed that controversial new venue MSG Sphere is one step closer to being built in east London despite pushback from thousands of local residents.
