’90s Rave-Themed World Cup Screenings Announced for London
Football fans in London are in for a unique experience this summer as a series of ’90s rave-themed World Cup screenings have been announced. With the tournament set to kick off on 11th June, promoter Kick Off Club is transforming three of the capital’s most prominent venues into immersive fan zones.
The events will take place at Outernet London, Electric Brixton, and the Colour Factory. Each location promises a distinct atmosphere, with the Colour Factory in Hackney Wick set to be reimagined as a warehouse-style rave space. Throughout the matches, DJs will provide the soundtrack, spinning classic acid house and breakbeat tracks during the build-up, half-time, and post-match celebrations.
Outernet, which boasts one of London’s largest indoor screens, will offer a high-energy environment with club-focused soundtracks accompanying the games. Meanwhile, Electric Brixton will lean into the nostalgia of the era with a theme centered around the Britpop movement.
The programming schedule is extensive, with Outernet and Electric Brixton each hosting six screenings throughout June. The Colour Factory will host four screenings during the same period, focusing on all of England’s group stage matches as well as the highly anticipated Scotland versus Brazil fixture. Organizers have confirmed that the venues will continue to host screenings throughout the knockout stages in July, with further match details to be announced soon.
For those looking to secure their spot at these nostalgic football gatherings, more information and ticket details are available via the official DJ-led event organizers.
