EXIT is set to broadcast a wealth of classic performances from the iconic event’s storied history for New Years Eve, including The Prodigy, Faithless, David Guetta and Pet Shop Boys.

Ahead of celebrations to mark next year’s 20th anniversary of the Serbian festival, EXIT TV is promising an ‘eclectic mix’ of historic main stage performances.

Róisín Murphy, Nile Rodgers, Moby and The Chainsmokers are included in the list of sets, with a host of rock, metal and indie shows also primed for broadcast.

“Bearing in mind that the forthcoming New Year’s holidays will be unique in the fact that the vast majority of people will spend them at home in very specific circumstances, we have decided to do what we do best — offer people an EXIT from the current situation, share with them some of the most important moments in EXIT Festival’s rich history,” said Maja Starčević, program manager of EXIT’s main stage.

This month has seen a flurry of announcements for special digital programming on 31st December and 1st January 2021, to compensate for the lack of celebratory options as the coronavirus pandemic continues to prevent parties and gatherings. Tomorrowland and The Hacienda are among the other organisations running events. Meanwhile, the UK’s Nighttime Industries Association has warned millions could attend an estimated 5,000 illegal parties to mark the end of 2020.
